Hailed by The New York Times as “the last of a dying breed… a taciturn loner with an acoustic guitar and a college degree\,” and praised by USA Today as “a storyteller in the best traditions of Mellencamp and Springsteen\,” Knight has earned his reputation as one of the most uncompromising and respected voices in Americana. \nHis latest album\, Almost Daylight\, arrives after a seven-year recording hiatus and delivers some of the most powerful and unexpected work of his career. Known for vivid portraits of rural life and hard-lived characters\, Knight continues that tradition here while also exploring themes of compassion\, redemption\, and love.
