Caroline Spence is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Her five solo albums have been featured by publications like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and NPR. Established artists like Emmylou Harris, Matt Berninger (of The National), Sarah Jarosz, and Lori McKenna have joined Caroline on her songs as featured vocalists and her body of work has been streamed over 80 million times.
Caroline has toured as the opening act for artists such as Tyler Childers, Mary Chapin Carpenter, John Moreland, Madi Diaz, Hayes Carll, and American Aquarium in addition to headlining shows across the US, the UK, and Europe.
Opening the evening for Caroline Spence is Rachel McIntyre Smith, an East Tennessee songwriter known for her lyrically driven “comfort twang” sound. Holler Magazine describes her as “Loretta Lynn for the TikTok Generation,” a nod to her ability to honor classic country storytelling while speaking to a modern audience.
Rachel’s musical journey began with classical piano at age nine, earning her two Tennessee State Piano Competition titles and the Paderewski Medal for ten years of superior Guild ratings. That strong foundation in music theory led her to explore guitar, ukulele, and songwriting, crafting songs rich with wit, vulnerability, and melodic warmth.
Her 2022 debut EP Glory Daze garnered attention from BBC Radio, Spotify’s Best of Fresh Finds Country, and respected tastemaker Grady Smith. In 2024, she released Honeysuckle Friend, a collection of her most poignant work to date, featuring banjo, mandolin, and lush harmonies that lean into Americana textures.
Americana Highways calls her “a vocal descendant of Alison Krauss,” and her smooth delivery paired with bright style and small-town charm makes her a natural complement to an evening of thoughtful, heartfelt songwriting.
