His impact on American music has been formally recognized with inductions into both the Wisconsin Music Hall of Fame and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, honoring a career rooted in artistic integrity and cultural significance.
Throughout his career, Kinney has released numerous critically acclaimed recordings both with Drivin N Cryin and as a solo artist. His collaborations include work with
Warren Haynes, R.E.M., The Who, John Popper, and many others. Peter Buck of R.E.M. has produced and performed on several of Kinney’s albums and continues to play an active role in his musical journey.
While continuously touring full-time with Drivin N Cryin, Kinney has also carved out a distinct and respected path as a solo performer. Whether commanding a festival stage or delivering an intimate, stripped-down acoustic set, audiences are drawn to the opportunity to experience his songwriting up close and personal.
Recent touring highlights include performances with Indigo Girls, Blackberry Smoke, The Black Crowes, and more. His most recent solo studio album, Think About It, was released in 2022.
In Fall 2023, the first release of Let’s Go Dancin’: A Compilation Celebrating the Songs of Kevn Kinney launched a four-album vinyl series featuring over 100 recorded tracks. This expansive, all-star tribute honors Kinney’s work as a songwriter, poet, and performer, with contributions from Jason Isbell, Violent Femmes, Shovels & Rope, Mike Farris, Great Peacock, and dozens of other artists, with releases continuing through the end of 2024.

No large bags or backpacks. Small purses or clutches only. Outside food and drink are not allowed unless otherwise noted. Exceptions may be made for medical or infant needs. All bags are subject to inspection. Concerts are 18+, and we ID everyone at the door. Ages 17 & under are allowed IF accompanied by a parent/guardian. All ticket sales final unless the show is cancelled by the venue. If you have questions, please contact the venue in advance.
