Erick Baker is an Emmy Award-winning Folk Soul singer-songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee. For more than a decade, he has built a life in music rooted in connection, honesty, and heart. Along the way, he has shared the stage with artists including John Legend, Brandi Carlile, Grace Potter, Heart, Gavin DeGraw, Chris Isaak, and the Goo Goo Dolls.
Known for his soulful voice and deeply heartfelt songwriting, Erick creates music that lives at the intersection of folk, rock, country, and soul. His sound has drawn comparisons to Ray LaMontagne and Amos Lee, blending warmth and vulnerability with melodies that linger long after the last note fades. The result is music that feels deeply personal yet universally relatable, resonating with listeners of every age and background.
A self-taught musician, Erick did not pick up a guitar until after graduating from college. What began as a late-blooming passion quickly grew into a thriving career. Since releasing his debut EP in 2008, he has recorded seven full-length albums and continues to evolve as both a songwriter and performer. He is currently at work on a new studio album slated for release in 2026.
With recent singles such as “She’s All Mine” and “The Author” Erick continues to demonstrate that vulnerability is a strength and that music has the power to bring people closer together. Over the years, fans have described his work as “emotional support music,” “heart and soul food,” and even “baby-makin’ music.” As one listener put it, “You don’t just listen to his music. No large bags or backpacks. Small purses or clutches only. Outside food and drink are not allowed unless otherwise noted. Exceptions may be made for medical or infant needs. All bags are subject to inspection. Concerts are 18+, and we ID everyone at the door. Ages 17 & under are allowed IF accompanied by a parent/guardian. All ticket sales final unless the show is cancelled by the venue. If you have questions, please contact the venue in advance.
